Meditation is the single most important part of my practice and recovery. I began meditation at Save A Warrior on December 3, 2019 and have practiced daily since then without missing a day. I noticed the stress reduction benefits immediately, sleeping through the night for the first time in years. The physical benefits took a couple of weeks to become clear. The first thing I noticed was that my chronic migraine headaches, 10-12 per month, which required injections of Imitrex, had disappeared. That has continued and I haven’t experienced a headache of any kind since. In addition, chronic neck/pain resolved. This simple 20 minute per day practice has allowed me to lower stress levels and be less reactive in personal interactions. I no longer need blood pressure medication after having very high readings for years. While I can’t guarantee that everyone will see this level of benefit, you will definitely see a reduction in stress levels.
